The next episode of Modev’s VOICE Talks Presented by Google Assistant dive into the world of marketing with voice experiences in the upcoming episode, which will stream live on April 29 at 2 p.m. Eastern. Sofia Altuna, Google Assistant’s co-lead of global product partnerships, will MC the latest episode’s mix of discussions and presentations, “Best Practices for Designing, Building and Marketing Voice Experiences.”
Altuna will open the show and highlight some of the ways companies like Snapchat are using voice tech for marketing pushes. She will introduce the speakers from Google and other brands, breaking up the segments with her commentary.
Google heard of conversation design advocacy and education Wally Brill will go over useful ways to design smart display games and experiences using Google Assistant to kick things off. Google developer relations engineer Jessica Dene Earley-Cha will then moderate a roundtable discussion with yadada co-founder Denis Valášek and Allen Firstenberg, project guru at Objective Consulting, Inc., where the experts will answer questions about incorporating voice into marketing strategies.
Drawing from long experience with marketing using voice technology, Skilled Creative CEO Brandon Kaplan and creative accounts and product strategist Heather Peterson will speak next on the lessons they’ve learned designing, launching and setting up revenue channels using the technology. Samsung senior director of strategic partnerships Sarah Nelson will then present on her company’s use of voice experiences in the regular Partner Spotlight segment. To round out the show, ElectrifAi senior vice president Noelle Silver will drill into the details of where and why brands should employ voice technology and how to judge its utility for their purposes.
Altuna will share her own thoughts on starting to experiment with voice for marketing in between segments and respond in real-time to viewers using #AskSofia on Twitter. Voice Talks is also soliciting videos from viewers explaining how they would use voice for their own startup if they have not begun already. People who send in a video will have a chance to see it streamed and to win a Google Assistant device.
“Voice has taken a major leap forward, and it has emerged over the last couple of years as a new foundational interaction model in computing,” Altuna said. “Voice provides customers with the ability to easily find and collect information, connect with brands and even make purchases. As users start to have access to this voice technology most everywhere, brands will have to start incorporating voice technology into their overarching strategy.”
