  • Have an open-door policy. 

Often managers and employers focus on the business aspect and ignore the personal aspects of their employees’ lives. By adopting an open door policy, employees will feel like they have the opportunity to have frank discussions with you, or to raise certain issues which might be bothering them. A good team is one that can work together to solve any problem. Some activities could include mini-golf, an outdoor obstacle course, or even something like go-karting with the employees split up into teams and racing against each other.   • Make the working environment as comfortable as possible. 

A hostile work environment does not make for a happy employee. Your office environment should be a relaxed one, where employees do not feel as though they are unappreciated or simply there to do a task. Taking the time to invest in good office equipment as well as decor items can create a fun atmosphere that will make the work day less monotonous and employees will feel valued and like they are contributing to the company’s overall success.
