Full Job Description
Plans, develops, and implements long and short-term strategies and marketing programs for expanding traditional distribution for an ultra-premium craft Tequila; including negotiation, pricing, programming, sales training, and performance monitoring to achieve sales goals. Over time, ability to manage a field sales force/brand ambassadors. Core markets include: CA, NV, WA,TX, IL, NY, NJ, PA, MI, FL.
Compoveda Tequila is a luxury tequila brand that is made to be both sipped and shared. The primary vision is to introduce premium sipping tequilas that will open the minds of traditional brown spirits and wine consumers. Headquartered in Stuart, Florida, Compoveda Tequila is distributed across the U.S.via local distribution partners and their parent company, SipTequila.com, a direct-to-consumer platform focused on bringing hand-curated, super-premium, and boutique tequilas to market in the U.S.
Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sales distributor plan to achieve company goals and initiatives for an ultra-premium craft spirit brand, with a core focus on-premise

Serve as the main supplier representative to the distributor network to educate about the brand, sales goals/projections, and support in securing additional market share through an effective selling approach

Direct sales development activity through the creation of sales territories/markets, quotas, and goals that reflect the market opportunity

Conduct sales meetings, product presentations, train, develop, and motivate distributor teams (and brand ambassadors) to foster the success of the overall sales network

Call on key accounts in designated territory/region and work with sales management to develop overall sales strategies across targeted accounts

Meet with key clients, assisting sale consultants with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals

Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements

Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Excellent organization and time management skills to meet goals/objectives, with experience using project management skills to plan, organize, manage, and accomplish goals

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities on tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality output

Ability to communicate enthusiasm for the product and category

Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills

Comprehensive understanding of wine and/or spirits to include regions/varietals, basic production process, product/food pairing techniques, history

Knowledge of products and their key features and attributes; ability to execute product line strategies (selling strategy)

Knowledge of various types of customers and ability to analyze customer activities, profiles, and information

Advanced knowledge in Word and Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and V Lookup

Ability to understand and manage budgets, profitability, and expenses

Ability to work with all levels of employees throughout the division
